This sequin art piece holds a special connection to my friend Paul Beaubrun, as it honors his grandfather, the iconic Haitian comedian Languichatte. When my cat, Sushi, first encountered the piece, something magical happened. He, who had never shown much interest in my work before, was instantly captivated by its vibrancy and energy. His fascination with the piece was pure, and it led to some of the most delightful photos. This piece not only honors a beloved figure in Haitian culture but also created a beautiful, unexpected moment in the creative process.
